Bridge of Dreams

Bridge of Dreams is an epic musical work celebrating the creative dialogue between an exceptional group of musicians from India and Australia: Sandy Evans (composition/musical director/saxophone soloist), Shubha Mudgal (composition/voice), Aneesh Pradhan (composition/tabla), Sirens Big Band (led by Jessica Dunn), Sudhir Nayak (harmonium), and Bobby Singh (tabla). The work is co-composed by Sandy Evans, Aneesh Pradhan and Shubha Mudgal.

Charlie ‘Bird’ Parker in his short lifetime revolutionised jazz improvisation, changing the face of jazz forever and shaping the course of 20th century music. Pulitzer prize winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa¹s epic poem Testimony provides the libretto for this new musical work composed by Sandy Evans paying homage to this jazz great.
