The catholics are back at one of our favourite venues, 505, on Friday 14th of June.
On this night, part of the Vivid Music festival, we’ll be delighted to feature the wonderful Alex Masso on drums (he of the legendary Vampires), who has the most uncanny ability to play a simple groove in a way you’ve never heard before. The way Alex and percussionist Fabian Hevia lock in is really quite extraordinary. (And kinda fun to play with.)
And also, for the second show running, we welcome Jess Green on guitar and banjo, who will again be coming up from Canberra.
On this gig, she is replacing our accordionist Gary Daley, so for the first time ever, The catholics will feature two guitars. The interplay between Jess and Jon Pease is going to be something to hear.
Book now to avoid disappointment. Link below.
The catholics: Lloyd Swanton – bass; Alex Masso – drums; Gary Daley – piano accordion, melodica; Sandy Evans – saxophones; Jess Green – guitar, banjo; James Greening – trombone, pocket trumpet; Fabian Hevia – percussion.
