In this special collaboration, the internationally-renowned Sandy Evans Trio is joined by two very special guests- the great saxophonist Andrew Robson and brilliant drummer Hamish Stuart. Completing the stellar line up is sensational bass player Brett Hirst.

“This is world-class contemporary music performed by some of the very best exponents in this country” John McBeath, Adelaide Advertiser.

As well as contemporary jazz and Indian-influenced tunes from Sandy’s trio book, the concert will feature recent compositions by Robson that showcase his great sense of groove and an uncanny instinct for melodic lyricism.

“Robson brought to the music passion and a prodigious technique tempered by lyricism and good taste.” Eric Myers, The Australian

The collective history of these four musicians span some of the most celebrated jazz groups Australia has produced: Robson (Orszaczky/Mike Nock/James Greening/Ten Part Invention/Mara) Evans (Women & Children First/Clarion Fracture Zone/The Catholics/Ten Part Invention/Mara) Stuart (Orszaczky/Barney McAll/VinceJones/Phil Treloar), Hirst (Mike Nock/Mark Isaacs/Lior/Phil Slater/Katie Noonan/Vince Jones).
