A special opportunity to hear “Gnome Chomsky’s Deep Focus Boogie-Woogie”, and even celebrate the composer’s birthday!
Kim Sanders’ compositions were influenced by Bulgarian, Turkish and African musical traditions. This ensemble spins its own web of exotic sounds and interpretations of Kim’s works, from mysterious and sensual to storming and wailing, and always underpinned by a solid grooving rhythm section.
Led by Sandy Evans (saxophone) and Llew Kiek (all things string), the ensemble of Sam Golding (trumpet), Stuart Vandegraaff (saxophones), Boyd (big saxophones), Ivaylo Karamanliev (kaval), Mark Szeto (bass), Peter Kennard (percussion) will bring Kim Sanders’ music to life as only old (and new) friends can.
