Chris Cody is proud to announce the release for streaming of his album 'Mountain to Sea' with his truly all star group of jazz musicians: Chris Cody piano, compositions, Sandy Evans tenor and soprano saxophones, Peter Farrar alto saxophone, Lloyd Swanton double bass. The music they play when they come together is organic, intuitive, exciting, and without boundaries. As Chris notes "we love the journey each piece takes both us and the audience on". The music was conceived as a lyrical response to turbulent times.

Following their moving and memorable Anzac Day performance to a packed house—where they celebrated the re-release of Lloyd Swanton’s acclaimed two-CD suite Ambon—The catholics are back at Foundry616. This time, they’re thrilled to welcome the return of James Greening, a founding member and one of the great figures in Australian jazz and improvised music. After a stint in the theatre world performing in Hadestown, James rejoins the band on trombone and trumpets, ready to blow the roof off once again. Joining him in the front line is the legendary Sandy Evans on saxophones, supported by a stellar rhythm section:
